A brick church with cement dressing begun in 1876 to the designs of Wharton & Vickers, and distinctive for its obsessively neat detailing. This is exemplified especially in the tower, which has elongated loopholes in the second stage, etiolated colonettes at the corners of the belfry, a tightly designed eave and spire of broken-backed profile.
